I didn't know that poor house insulation could stress the air conditioner

Uncontrolled excitement can cause a lot of pain if it makes you ignore things that you should pay attention to.

I know because I made a terrible oversight recently.

I have always wanted to own a tiny house, but I lacked the drive to look for one. When I lost my job, this changed, and my desire peaked. Although it took me a while to source a good house, I did not practice due diligence because my former employer compensated me for the job loss, and I planned to get a smaller tiny home immediately. Two months into the home, I realized that I needed help with indoor comfort. The tiny house was beautiful, in and out, the finishing was top notch the house was reasonably planned out for movement and space. However, once I moved it to my preferred location, where the weather was a bit cooler, I couldn’t get the air conditioner to work optimally. So I called the former owner, and he dismissed my claims saying it was probably the weather change. That’s when I traced the HVAC technician who serviced the air conditioning system. It turned out the house was poorly insulated, and the owner just wanted to get rid of it. I still had money and didn’t want the back and forth. I approached an HVAC professional from a local HVAC company, had him inspect the ac filter, and did some ac repairs. However, I later suggested an upgrade to a better HVAC unit with no air duct or ductwork to worry about. That way, when I book home services, my HVAC maintenance costs won’t be as high, and I’ll get better air quality before figuring out how to improve insulation for long-term benefits.
